A public hearing to discuss the proposed Village of Brooklyn Comprehensive Plan and the adoption of an ordinance to adopt the Comprehensive Plan shall be held as provided in accordance with the following Notice of Hearing, which the Village Clerk shall publish by a Class 1 Notice under Chapter 985, Wis. Stats.:
NOTICE OF HEARING – VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
A. A public hearing to discuss the proposed Village of Brooklyn Comprehensive Plan and the adoption of an ordinance to adopt the Comprehensive Plan shall be held at 210 Commercial Street on March 13, 2023, at 6:30 p.m.
B. The proposed Comprehensive Plan in summary contains the following items:

- Issues and Opportunities Chapter
- Agricultural, Natural & Cultural Resources Chapter
- Land Use Chapter
- Transportation Chapter
- Utility and Community Facilities Chapter
- Housing & Neighborhood Development Chapter
- Economic Development Chapter
- Intergovernmental Cooperation Chapter
- Implementation Chapter
It also contains maps of the following:
- Map 1-1 Jurisdictional Framework
- Map 2-1 Natural Areas
- Map 3-1 Existing 2023 Land Use
- Map 3-2a Planned Land Use (Village Limits)
- Map 3-2b Planned Land Use (Village ETJ Area)
- Map 7-1 TIF Districts
- Map 8-1 Surrounding Jurisdictions
C. Kory D. Anderson, P.E., General Engineering Company, may be contacted to provide additional information on the proposed Comprehensive Plan and Ordinance at (608) 742-2169 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
D. A copy of the proposed Comprehensive Plan will be available for public viewing in the Village Clerk’s office, Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A copy shall also be available for viewing on the Village’s website at brooklynwi.gov (Draft comp plan)
E. A copy of the proposed Comprehensive Plan may be obtained by contacting the Village Clerk’s Office, weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at 210 Commercial Street, Brooklyn, Wisconsin, or by phone at (608) 455-4201.
Anyone unable to attend the hearing may submit a written statement to the Village Clerk or Deputy Clerk before the hearing.
